By providing amenities such as free bike lights, bike repair, helpful support and encouragement, these events and activities make cycling more accessible and enjoyable to novice bikers. Bike Week will also reward participants with incentives such as prizes, giveaways and free food. All events are free and open to the public.

Minneapolis Bike Week is the next evolutionary step of Twin Cities Bike Walk Week, an event that has been held for more than a decade. Minneapolis Bike Week will be part of a region-wide Twin Cities Bike Week. Bike Week is hosted by the Minneapolis Bicycle Coalition in partnership with local institutions, businesses, schools and organizations.
